Sitting

I’ve been sitting

and sitting

and sitting and sitting

Sitting

Sitting

Being still

Just sitting

Sitting through hell

Through quiet overwhelm

Sitting to be well

Or just sitting to sit

Sitting, sitting

Sitting, sitting

To rest weary bones

Have quiet time alone

When house is not home

Sitting down to return

Sitting

and sitting

and sitting and sitting

Sitting

Sitting

Being still

Just sitting

Finding my breath

And leading her deep

Behind my heart

Behind my tears

Behind the hurt

Behind the years

Behind whatever else is there

Behind my spirit’s need to sit

I sit

and sit

and sit

and sit

Sitting

Sitting

Being still

Just sitting

Sitting to sit

Sitting to knit

Sitting to recover

When I feel like shit (this)

Sitting, sitting

Sitting, sitting

To rest my troubled mind

To commune with the Divine

I have given myself permission

To just sit

and be still

Sitting

and sitting

and sitting and sitting

Sitting

Sitting

Being still

Just sitting

Eyes closed

Eyes soft

Body relaxed

Savasana

Sitting

Sitting

Being still

Just sitting

Sitting

See what comes up

Sitting

Then let it be

Sitting

Seeing

Listening

Hearing

Feeling all the feels

Discerning what is real

A taste of inner peace

Like food for my soul

Sitting

Sitting

Being still

Just sitting

Sitting

and sitting

and sitting and sitting

At random times of the day

Before the sun sets at night

My trusted body sits me down

To just sit

and be
